"Truth is always relative to both the substance and context of the evaluated statement as well asthe process of evaluation. To this end, if truth is relative, and is a product, then absolute it cannot be. However, there is one statement that must be true for truth to work in the first place, and that is the statement of truth itself."
"True" is true. As is, "'True' is true" is true. And so on...

In this project, I did research about Inglewood Education. I visited Inglewood high school and realized there are a lot of issues in the school such as students don’t know what goal is and how to set a goal. So, I want to make a publication evoke Inglewood high school’s students to think and plan their life. I believe storytelling is the best way to influence students. Hence, I start to look for peoples’ life story in Inglewood as content. Each story will introduce an Inglewood’s people’s job and life. Using these contents, I want to make an lives’ recipe. In this way, I want to tell Inglewood high school students that lives are diverse. All roads lead to Rome. The thing they need to do is to keep going. Hence, I tried to design a publication to evoke Inglewood high school students to think about lives.
This is a project in which I was doing deep research about Artificial Intelligence. This is piece a infographic map to show my research about how Siri works and where it lives.
Poster for Sahara Tahoe
Amy was a nurse at the Sahara Tahoe Casino in Stateline, Nevada. Amy worked until about 2:00 a.m. on September 6, 1970, treating her last patient at 1:40 a.m. Later that same day, both Amy’s employer and her landlord received phone calls from an unknown male falsely claiming she had left town due to a family emergency. On March 22, 1971, a postcard to the San Francisco Chronicle, addressed to “Paul Averly” and believed to be from the Zodiac Killer, appeared to claim responsibility for the disappearance. What appeared to be a grave site was discovered near the Clair Tappaan Lodge in Norden, California, but an excavation yielded only a pair of sunglasses. Amy was never found
This project is a unique project in which I created a fictional character, Mike Cliff, an anti- war graphic designer. The character is inspired by a friend of mine, who is a photography and was detached to Vietnam to take photos. After coming back the USA for 15 years, he got cancer because of Agent Orange. So, I used the story as a model. Mick Cliff was a journalist and then, quit his job to be an anti-war designer because his older brother deads caused by Agent Orange. His Mon was propaganda artist and taught him how collage and image making. So, generally speaking, I built the character depending on real history and war issue. Also, I made up his background and detail to develop a 3D profile. Then, I use the profile to do image making. Paul Rand and other designers work, in that time, also are introduced into the project as a reference.
Top Secret Monopoly is a game based on social system. In America, people don’t really know what China is and mostly, people stereotype
culture subconsciously. Mostly, people know another country by reading or watching documentary. But, I don’t think these are correct ways to understand a country because Audience can’t
totally understand a different social system without experience. So, in this project, I tried to translate a Chinese social system profile into a new form, game, which can bring experience to audiences. In this game, I tried to separate
Chinese society as three hierarchies, each
hierarch has specific way to make live. Player will play game while being asked questions. In this process, player actually is studying Chinese social culture without knowing. When player are playing game they have to follow the rule of game, which can be annoying because there are a lot rules are unfair.
What is the best way to get your daughter into a good elementary school?
A. Apply for the school the usual way
B. Donate a library to the school
C. pry into the school president’s
interests and try to bribe him/her
D. Force your daughter to get as many certificates as she can in order to improve her competitiveness.
Correct answer: ABCD (A-D work for the purpose but C will be most effective way with no doubt.) So, it means players have to follower the rule if they want to make live in the social system.
The Schematic shows my perspectives of graphic design. In addition, I tried to analysis my my methodology and made the model to help audience understand processes.
In this project, I want to discuss about information security in the state. For this project, I made up a story in which Cookie monster wanted to travel Los Angeles and she used his phone assistant, Carl which is kind Siri to help him as a navigator. Unfortunately, Carl is a digital spy which steals Cookie Monster private information such as GPS location, meeting schedule and sells them out to people. Hence, wherever he went he world always be found.
In the end, he wanted to escape from LA to San Diego but was arrested because of DUI. I used this special way in order to discuss the serious issue less boring while evoking audience to think about the issue after laughing.
This is a project discussing duality of artificial technology. I found three movies, Gattaca, Borrowed light and Patagonia Rising as contents to discuss the topic. Gattaca is a science fictional movie, which discuss, in the future, we use DNA database to stereotype human’s life, personality, capacity and even jobs. In the situation, technology becomes a kind jail to define, enclose, human being’s rights.
The second movie, Borrowed light concerns development of cities caused light pollution, which caused people can’t observer meter shower. The poster coveys a Medifore , don’t just concern what you get but also consider what you are losing.
The third poster relates to documentary talking about government wanted to build a big dam in Patagonia, where is a place in south American, in order to produce more electricity. The poster concerns pontifical consequence caused by the construction such as eco-system damage.
